OOC NOTES
◉ Only characters who have been given access to this line will be able to contact Jimmy, and only Jimmy is able to provide that access.
◉ Along those same lines, Jimmy may rescind access at any given moment.
◉ Video, audio, and text are all possible.
◉ If someone tries to trace the line, Jimmy has checks in place to find out how they did it. Please let us know on Plot Engagement. This may lose your character access to Jimmy.
◉ It is possible to make requests of Jimmy (plot-related), ask questions, or even ask that he gives another character access. We're cool, though Jimmy may not always grant permissions or help out.

[He sends her a picture of his living room, which is like what a cat person's house looks like when it's been taken over with cats ... only with birds. Branches stretch from the walls. There are countless birds all over the place. One is even a blur at the time of the photo.]

moderation, my dude ]
Do you have a favorite?
no subject
Type of bird or bird that's here? My favorite type of bird was the meadowlark, though that feels a touch on the nose these days.
As for who's here? Well! I rather like Betty. She likes to nest in my hair when I'm watching a program.
no subject
Which one is Betty?

[Imagine that as a Cooltalk link.]
I am sorry about the bird theme in the Aerie. I hadn't expected it to be absorbed so heavily, but my influence appears to be seen there, isn't it? Unless you all are very obsessed with birds. I imagine some of the names here and there haven't helped.
no subject
Did you make the Aerie? If you didn't I don't think the bird influence was entirely your fault.
The name I used when I was 16 was Kestrel.

[ He says, actually very grateful he didn't have to wade into this particular adventure in networking three minutes after the Aerie dissolved. ]

You all should be pleased I'm somewhat regular with the drop offs!

I know you own Red Wings and you were a magician of some kind. Good, creative use of your power, by the way. Not good that the UN likely knows of it.
But no. I don't know you. Just that you were among the first. And you're still there and haven't been in jail. Congratulations on that.

secondly: how's the weather up there today?
no subject
But weather-wise, it's very, very stale. They haven't figured out how to replicate anything but that yet. I'd call it disappointing if I weren't so used to it.
It's hot there, right? I put special cooling systems in the outfits this time. I hope they were appreciated.
[As if the outfits themselves could be.]

[ Though he has the distinct and nagging feeling that the newly Displaced were not as amused. ]
nice use of imagery on the breastplates. i'm kind of assuming your audubon catalogue is a little more limited than it would have been before the global flooding.

Some of the birds I have up here with me aren't down below, and I don't have everything that's down there up here. Partly because there have been reports on new species. I was hoping to take a trip down, but with, ah, things being as they are, I should sit tight. I don't want the news to be filled with reports about my cloning tendencies and the like. Both bird and human, that is.
Which is to say: it's limited. But not as much as it could be, not if I hadn't purchased those sequences all those years ago. I had the ability to do so.
no subject
you ever heard of the nazca lines? you probably haven't seen them since they were already on thin ice in my time due to climate change. [ Flooding and a world war? Fragile geoglyphs never stand a chance. ] most of them were birds.
no subject
[He sends along a series of pictures of what he means. Basically a lot of pictures of this species.]
As for the Nazca Lines, I can't say I have! I have to wonder what certain people would have made of them if they still existed. Perhaps it's for the best that they don't if there are birds. But if you don't mind me asking, do you know why they were birds? Was that ever determined?

and so he dreams.

do you dream like we do?

[He's delighted that Ronan wrote him. He was afraid that he might not, even with the invitation.]
I was never able to take that power for myself.
